The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in website any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until 2025 nsfas application the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
